The launch and distribution of the guides took place during the Vem Passarinhar event, an initiative of the Instituto Estadual do Ambiente (INEA – State Environmental Institute ).
The development of these two guides for the two partners is part of the pillar of support for conservation units outlined in the Aves do Açu structuring project and reinforces Vast Infraestrutura’s commitment to sustainability and the conservation of the ecosystems where the company operates.

Developed by the Sustainability team in collaboration with Braço Social, a Vast partner consultancy, the award-winning article details the operations and results of Aves do Açu, a pioneering and 100% voluntary project by the company aimed at conserving the trinta-réis, bird species that inhabit the company’s oil terminal, T-Oil, during their breeding season.
To represent Vast and receive the award, the collaborators responsible for the authorship of the projetct were designated at the Antaq ceremony in Brasília.

The inaugural operation, completed on November 17, involved the transshipment of MGO (Marine Gasoil) to Efen, the company with which Vast signed a 5-year contract for receiving, storage, and dispatch services at the company’s new terminal.
The start of operations at TLA represents a significant milestone for Vast, as the terminal’s robust infrastructure will contribute to the company’s business expansion and to increasing support for liquid logistics in Brazil.

Efen is the newest client of Vast Infraestrutura at the Terminal de Líquidos do Açu (TLA). The companies have signed a five-year contract for the reception, storage, and dispatch of Marine Gasoil (MGO) at TLA.
With this agreement, Efen will have a storage capacity of 20.000 m3 to supply its markets at Port do Açu and offshore. MGO is a fuel commonly used in main propulsion engines of small and medium-sized vessels, including offshore (OSVs) and tugboats.
The contract reinforces TLA’s role as a hub for the storage and handling of marine fuels, clean fuels, lubricants and biofuels. The terminal already has two operational berths that will initially be used for the supply of marine fuels.
This marks another strategic partnership for TLA, positioning it as a key player in the movement of fuels with a lower carbon footprint, contributing to the decarbonization of the maritime sector.

On the 18th of October, Vast Infraestrutura carried out the Annual Drill of the Individual Emergency Plan, in the full deployment model, with the mobilization of 100% of Vast’s resources, with the resources of the Plano de Auxílio Mútuo (PAM – Mutual Assistance Plan), coordinated by Porto do Açu.
On October 18th, Vast Infraestrutura carried out the Annual Drill of its Individual Emergency Plan, in the full deployment model, with the mobilization of 100% of Vast’s resources, as well as the resources of the Plano de Auxílio Mútuo (PAM – Mutual Assistance Plan), coordinated by Porto do Açu.
With the participation of authorities, clients and partner companies, the drill also allowed these stakeholders to closely assess the company’s capacity to respond to emergencies and test their own processes and communication flows in these scenarios. The exercise mobilized Vast’s entire Emergency Response Organizational Structure, which assembles members in command posts at the headquarters, in Rio de Janeiro, and at T-Oil, at Porto do Açu, in São João da Barra. Altogether, 141 people were mobilized.
In this year’s drill, nine of Vast’s 12 clients sent representatives to accompany the exercise. In addition, were also present institutes such as Instituto Estadual do Ambiente (INEA) and the Brazilian navy, local community leaders and partner companies, such as Wilson Sons, Ferroport, Otamerica, OceanPact and EnvironPact, and observers from OSRL.
The drill also mobilized 13 members of the local fishing community, that are trained in beach cleaning through the Mar Atento project, to which Vast Infraestrutura is a partner.
