Açu Petróleo carried out two simultaneous operations with VLCC

Açu Petróleo cannot stop. In the last few days, for the first time, we have carried out two simultaneous operations with VLCC in our terminal. During the operations, 4 million barrels were handled. This milestone reinforces the commitment and engagement of each of our employees who are on the front lines, ensuring that our activities continue, always guided by our values: operational excellence and safety. Açu Petróleo performs first oil transshipment operation to Total

In the midst of the current global crisis due to the coronavirus, Açu Petróleo remains committed to prioritizing the health and safety of all. We would like to share with you another milestone achieved. We carried out the first oil transshipment operation at our Terminal for the french oil company Total E&P do Brasil as a result of the contract signed last month. It is the beginning of another contract in our Terminal and this is a reason for great satisfaction for all of us! This milestone demonstrates once again the market’s confidence in Açu Petróleo. We are recognized as a differentiated logistics solution of operational excellence, safety and customer focus.

Committed to the safety and well-being of all, Açu Petróleo, since the first cases of COVID-19, has been taking preventive measures in line with the recommendations of health agencies, aiming at the safety of our employees, suppliers, partners, clients and local community. The following measures were implemented:

Formation of a Risk Committee composed of the senior management of Açu Petróleo. With daily meetings, the Committee monitors the latest events about the coronavirus and institutes new preventive measures, when necessary;

– Formation of an Operational Committee, focusing on port routines, with daily meetings and updates;

– Daily sending of safety and personal hygiene guidelines to all employees of the company;

– Home office for employees who develop activities that can be carried out remotely, in addition to face-to-face alternation for those who work in essential activities for the continuity of operations;

– Priority for virtual or telephone meetings;

– Availability of alcohol gel in areas of common use;

– Preventive isolation of employees who have returned from international travel, have any flu symptoms and / or have had contact with people who have returned from a country at risk;

– Suspension of institutional visits to the Terminal and national and international travel for employees;

– Suspension of events that we would hold or participate in;

– At the Terminal, no ship is authorized by the regulatory agency of the Ministry of Health to berth until the master reports about the vessel and crew’s sanitary conditions is approved by the National Health Surveillance Agency (Anvisa).

This is a new scenario for all of us, which requires a lot of attention and care. Therefore, we reinforce our commitment to prevent the spread of the virus. We count on your understanding and are available to answer any questions.

Açu Petróleo and Total signed a contract

Açu Petróleo and the oil company Total signed a contract to carry out double banking operations at the company’s terminal, in Porto do Açu, located in the State of Rio de Janeiro.

The contract will primarily serve the Lapa, Mero, Berbigão and Sururu fields, located in the Santos Basin, using Suezmax and VLCC vessels. With a depth of 25 meters, the Açu Petróleo terminal is the only Brazilian private terminal qualified to receive VLCC class vessels, which have a storage capacity of up to 2 million barrels of crude oil.

Since it started operating in 2016, 140 million barrels of oil have been operated at the Açu Petróleo terminal. It should be noted that the movement carried out in 2019 was 72 million barrels of oil. In addition to Total, Galp, Petrobras, Repsol, Shell and Equinor also operate through the Terminal.

Açu Petróleo’s employees and partners participated in the turtle release action

Here at Açu Petróleo, protecting the environment is the path to development. To reinforce this value, our employees participated in the turtle release action at Praia das Conchas, in Açu – an initiative of the Sea Turtle Monitoring Program, which we carried out together with Porto do Açu and Ferroport. With great enthusiasm and aware of the importance of the program for the life of the turtles, we had the participation of approximately 50 employees. Since the beginning of this last breeding season, the program has identified 1,180 nests and recorded the birth of about 21,800 chicks. In 11 years of the program, there are more than 13 thousand registered nests and about 912 thousand chicks released into the sea. Stimulating good environmental practices is in our DNA.

Açu Petróleo acomplished the 1st operation for Equinor

The first operation is part of the 3-year contract signed with Açu Petróleo last year.

2020 has started and we are already in full swing. In the last few days, we carried out the first Equinor operation. The operation that begins the partnership with the IOC (International Oil Company) involved two Suezmax vessels.

The operation is part of the 3-year contract that the company signed with Açu Petróleo last year and which aims to export the oil production from Roncador field.

This operation reinforces the market’s confidence in Açu Petróleo as a safe, efficient and sustainable solution for oil exports.

Açu Petróleo promoves SIPATP with its collaborators and partners

The event was held between the 25th and 29th of November and had an intense program.

At the end of November, we held the Internal Week for the Prevention of Port Work Accidents (SIPATP), which featured a series of activities aimed at preventing accidents at work and occupational diseases.

During the closing ceremony, a employees recognition occured between workers from Açu Petróleo, Oiltanking and other companies. The initiative reinforces our commitment to safety, a intrinsic value in Porto do Açu.

Açu Petróleo and Prumo’s group companies attent to OTC Brasil 2019

Between 29th and 31st of October, the event is one of the largest oil and gas segment.

Açu Petróleo participated in one of the largest oil and gas fairs in the world, OTC Brasil. For the first time with an integrated stand, in partnership with Porto do Açu and GNA, we introduce our visitors to the oil, gas and energy hubs, such as all infrastructure and business opportunities at Açu.

At the SulAmérica Convention Center, we received hundreds of visitors and potential customers. In addition, we shown our interactive tool, where the public could browse and learn about the opportunities of the largest port-industry complex in Latin America.

During the three days, lectures in pocket format were also presented at the booth, with representatives of companies operating in Porto do Açu.

Açu Petróleo performs first oil transshipment operation to Repsol

Açu Petróleo and Repsol signed a contract to carry out a single transhipment operation.

Açu Petróleo has just expanded its customer list. On October 25 and 26, the company carried out the first oil transshipment operation for Repsol, which signed a contract to carry out a single operation at the company’s oil terminal. With this operation, Açu Petróleo also reaches, for the first time, 4 different customers’ operations in the same month: Repsol, Shell, Galp and Petrobras.

About 1 million barrels were transshiped in this operation, carried out between a VLCC vessel, White Nova, and a shuttle vessel, Raquel Knusten. At the end of the operation, the VLCC left Açu half loaded.

The month of October had a positive balance for the Prumo Group company: 10 operations were carried out at the company’s terminal, which offers operational excellence for our customers.

Açu Petróleo at Rio Pipeline 2019

Açu Petróleo was represented by Victor Bomfim at the forum on technical regulation of oil terminals.

The CEO of Açu Petróleo, Victor Bomfim, was one of the invited speakers for the forum on the technical regulation of oil terminals, during Rio Pipeline 2019, one of the biggest events in the pipeline segment. He spoke about future projects for the Oil Terminal in Porto do Açu.

Our oil hub was also presented at an interactive structure at the event, shared with GNA – Gás Natural Açu and Prumo. It was great opportunity to share the new Açu Petróleo project.
