On December 11, Vast Infraestrutura concluded the second cycle of Start, the company’s Innovation Program. In this second edition of the internal initiative, launched in 2024, Vast developed nine proposals, including three innovation projects and six continuous improvement actions.

To close the 2025 cycle, the Start Day was hel, an event in which the teams presented the progress and results of the projects and actions developed, highlighting the strengthening of the company’s culture of innovation.

The proposals designed and implemented throughout the year by employees ranged from structural and strategic solutions for Vast’s business to small day-to-day improvements that directly contribute directly to the efficiency of our operations.

Vast Infraestrutura and its teams are ready to continue innovating.

In November, Vast carried out its Annual Individual Emergency Plan (IEP) Drill at T-Oil, using a full deployment model with the mobilization of 100% of our oil spill containment and recovery resources at sea. The exercise aims to test and optimize the company’s emergency response capabilities.

This year, we reached a record number of participants. A total of 172 people were mobilized for the drill, including Vast employees and representatives from partner companies, competent authorities, such as the Brazilian Navy, the State Environmental Institute (INEA), the Chico Mendes Institute for Biodiversity Conservation, Civil Defense, and Marcela Toledo, Secretary of the Environment of São João da Barra, as well as company clients, including Shell, Petrobras, Equinor, CNOOC, and Galp. Participation took place both remotely and in person at the T-Oil command posts in São João da Barra and at the headquarters in Rio de Janeiro. The exercise also included a simulated beach cleanup, carried out with the support of 19 representatives from local fishing communities, trained by Vast as part of the Mar Atento project.

Vast’s performance in the drill demonstrates the company’s maturity in emergency preparedness and response, while reinforcing Safety as a non-negotiable value for us.

In November, Vast held the Integrated Compliance, Diversity & Inclusion Week together with the other Prumo Group companies.

The event’s theme was “Respect: our link between ethics and diversity,” and the highlight of the week was the keynote lecture on non-tolerated behaviors, featuring Dione Assis and Danielle Torres, MSc., moderated by Angela Serpa. The speakers discussed how inclusive policies and environments that value differences help strengthen organizational culture.

At Vast, the program also included a lecture on microaggressions, as well as initiatives to reinforce the Code of Conduct and the Reporting Channel.

The initiative reinforces the company’s commitment to ethics, integrity, and respect, contributing to the development of an increasingly diverse and inclusive work environment.

This year, Vast Infraestrutura joined the PorTodas program, created in 2024 by Porto do Açu Operações to provide professional qualification for women from communities surrounding the port.

Aiming to increase female participation in port operations at the complex, the initiative offers professional training in two stages: a theoretical stage, lasting two months at the Instituto Federal Fluminense (IFF) in São João da Barra, and a practical stage, allowing participants to work with partner companies through a selection process that considers both performance during the course and each candidate’s behavioral skills.

At the end of this year’s cycle, Vast Infraestrutura welcomed two trained professionals into the team, who are already working at the Açu Liquid Terminal (TLA) port operations. The other trained professionals are registered in our Talent Bank and will be considered for future selection processes, expanding opportunities for workforce inclusion.

Vast Infraestrutura has achieved the highest certification from the Ministry of Ports and Airports’ Sustainability Pact. The company was awarded the Diamond Seal during the COP 30 event on November 12.

This recognition reflects Vast’s maturity in sustainability and aligns with the company’s ambition to be a benchmark for sustainability and best practices in its sector.

From October 27 to 31, Vast Infraestrutura held its 2025 Internal Week for the Prevention of Port Work Accidents (SIPATP). This annual initiative is conducted in partnership with Otamerica, the company’s partner in the operation and maintenance of T-Oil, and aims to reinforce the importance of health, well-being, and safety in the workplace for employees of both companies as well as other contractors working with Vast.

Under the theme “Operational Discipline,” the event featured lectures on safety, accident prevention, and well-being; workplace exercise and massage sessions; interactive activities and quizzes with prizes; and videos submitted by employees and contractors showcasing examples of operational discipline in the daily routines at Vast’s offices and terminals.

At Vast Infraestrutura, Safety is a non-negotiable value.

In October, Vast Infraestrutura carried out its annual “Every Action Matters” campaign, aimed at encouraging sustainable and responsible practices for environmental preservation. This year’s theme was “Together for the efficient use of natural resources.”

Throughout the month, the initiative shared tips and guidance on everyday eco-efficiency, highlighted Vast’s ongoing sustainability actions, and hosted a discussion circle focused on the efficient use of natural resources and the adoption of sustainable lifestyles. To close the campaign, Vast organized a photo contest that awarded employees and contractors whose pictures best represented sustainable and eco-efficient practices in both their professional and personal lives.

TLA took center stage at Oceans of Opportunity, an event organized by Prumo that brought together global leaders and experts to discuss zero-emission fuels and the future of maritime decarbonization.

During the event, Vast Infraestrutura’s terminal was presented as a key driver of maritime sector decarbonization at both the Port of Açu and in Brazil. Its strategic role will be crucial for handling the future fuels expected from the Port’s hydrogen hub project. The TLA’s infrastructure will ensure competitive logistics for distributing products such as SAF, green ammonia, and e-methanol.

The TLA’s benefits extend beyond the Açu industrial complex. With the new terminal, Vast aims to meet Brazil’s growing demand for infrastructure capable of handling a wide variety of liquid products. The terminal is licensed for a total storage capacity of 108,000 m³, covering petroleum derivatives, chemicals, and biofuels.

The first phase of the terminal’s tank farm is already under construction and will include 11 tanks with a total capacity of 38,600 m³. Operations at the TLA are expected to begin in the second half of 2026.

In October, Vast Infraestrutura held the 8th edition of ConversAções, a proprietary event aimed at strengthening dialogue with the local community.

The initiative took place at SESC Grussaí, in São João da Barra, bringing together company employees, local authorities, civil society organizations, and representatives from educational institutions.

During the event, participants were updated on the progress of the TLA construction works, the social development initiatives supported by Vast, the professional training programs for women in the port sector, and the efforts to prioritize local suppliers.

Vast Infraestrutura continues to open new horizons for energy and for the sustainable development of the communities within its area of influence.

Vast Infraestrutura and Wilson Sons achieved a milestone: for the first time in Brazil, all tugboats involved in a maritime maneuver were powered by HVO biofuel. The operation took place on October 26 at Vast’s terminal (T-Oil) in the Port of Açu, with five Wilson Sons tugboats.

HVO, also known as renewable diesel or green diesel, is a biofuel that replaces conventional marine diesel and can reduce carbon dioxide (CO₂) emissions by more than 70%, considering the full life cycle of the fuel.

The first refueling with HVO in Brazil’s maritime sector took place in May, at the Liquid Bulk Terminal of Açu (TLA), operated by Vast.

This initiative is part of Vast’s Decarbonization Journey, which aims to promote the use of biofuels in the maritime industry, ensuring increasingly sustainable operations across its terminals.
