On may 29th, we celebrated World Energy Day, a date that invites us to reflect on the fundamental role energy plays in our lives and the sustainable development of the planet.

Here at Vast, we take on a leading role in the industry, directing our efforts towards safe, sustainable operations with environmental care.

We conduct transshipment with safety, reliability, and predictability, and we are equipped to provide transshipment services for VLCC-type vessels at the largest national private terminal dedicated to oil exports. In 2022, we represented 33% of the Brazilian oil transshipment market.

We have taken a significant step with the launch of our Decarbonization Strategy, aiming to carry out operations that are increasingly less carbon-intensive.

We remain steady in our commitment to carry out transshipment operations that are increasingly safer, more sustainable, and with concern and care for the environment and society.

No dia 29 de maio, celebramos o Dia Mundial da Energia, uma data que nos convida a refletir sobre o papel fundamental que a energia desempenha em nossas vidas e no desenvolvimento sustentável do planeta.

Aqui na Vast, assumimos um papel de protagonismo no setor, direcionando nossos esforços para operações seguras, sustentáveis e com cuidado com o meio ambiente.

Vast is highlight in article by Brasil Energia

Vast’s performance was highlighted in an article by Brasil Energia. The publication recognizes our investment of BRL 2 billion in a new infrastructure project at the Açu Port, the SPOT project, which will connect oil lightering vessels to storage tanks and pipelines, opening up new delivery routes to refineries.

The project envisions the construction of a storage capacity of 5 million barrels and two pipelines, 50 km and 100 km in length, connecting the Açu district (RJ) to the Cabiúnas Terminal in Macaé (RJ), from where the oil will be distributed throughout the Southeast region of the country.

“The project is not just about storage tanks, but also about logistical connections that provide greater flexibility in the movement of crude oil in Brazil. The terminal can also serve as a feed for the Regap and Reduc refineries (owned by Petrobras), increasing oil transportation flexibility,” emphasized our CEO, Victor Snabaitis Bomfim.

We are also working on the Açu Liquid Terminal (TLA) project, which involves products focused on energy transition, with an investment of approximately BRL 300 million.

Vast participates in the 2023 Argus Rio Crude

Last May, Vast Infraestrutura participated in the 2023 Argus Rio Crude, one of the largest events of the oil industry in Latin America, which brought together major players in the sector and fostered discussions about the role of oil production in this region in the world market, the current geopolitical scenario, refining in Brazil and the actions of decarbonization promoted in the segment.

As a silver sponsor of the event, Vast had a booth on site and the participation of our CEO, Victor Snabaitis Bomfim, in the panel “Infrastructure Development: what are the other needs to truly boost LATAM exports”. On the occasion, we presented our intention to invest in infrastructure to support the growth of Brazilian oil exports, generating value to the industry.

The three-day event promoted a lot of connection and exchange of experiences with renowned names in the industry.

A Vast Infraestrutura participou, no último mês de maio, da Argus Rio Crude 2023, um dos maiores encontros da indústria de petróleo da América Latina, que reuniu grandes players do setor e fomentou discussões sobre o papel da produção de petróleo desta região no mercado mundial, o atual cenário geopolítico, o refino no Brasil e as ações de descarbonização promovidas no segmento.

Como patrocinadora silver do evento, a Vast contou com um estande no local e com a participação de nosso CEO, Victor Snabaitis Bomfim, no painel “Desenvolvimento de infraestrutura: quais são as outras necessidades para realmente intensificar as exportações da América Latina”. Na ocasião, apresentamos nosso propósito de investir em infraestrutura para suportar o crescimento da exportação brasileira de petróleo, gerando valor para o setor.

Os três dias de evento foram de muita conexão e troca de experiências com nomes renomados da indústria.

Vast helds its 3rd ConversAções meeting

In April, Vast held the 3rd ConversAções meeting in São João da Barra. The event, which aims to promote dialogue and active listening in our area of operation, brought together the main leaders of the local community, employees of our company and experts from Braço Social consulting firm, our partners in the Aves do Açu Project.

Besides presenting a retrospective of the 2022 editions, important highlights of the company, the objectives of the meetings that will be held in 2023, Vast’s transparency channels and the actions of the Aves do Açu Project planned for this season, the event also held the “web of involvement”.

The activity aimed to integrate and engage the participants, as well as present the relationship of each one with the region of São João da Barra. The action consisted in organizing those present in a circle, in which each one told a little about themselves and, using a roll of yarn, passed the word to another, demonstrating how we are interconnected and that, together, we can contribute to our common environment.

Vast realiza o 3º ConversAções

No fim do mês de abril, a Vast realizou o 3º encontro ConversAções, em São João da Barra. O evento, que visa promover o diálogo e a escuta ativa em nossa área de atuação, reuniu as principais lideranças da comunidade local, colaboradores de nossa empresa e especialistas da consultoria Braço Social, nossos parceiros no Projeto Aves do Açu.

Além de apresentar a retrospectiva das edições de 2022, importantes destaques da empresa, os objetivos dos encontros que serão realizados em 2023, os canais de transparência da Vast e as ações do Projeto Aves do Açu previstas para esta temporada, o evento realizou ainda a “teia do envolvimento”.

A atividade teve como objetivo integrar e engajar os participantes, bem como apresentar a relação de cada um com a região de São João da Barra. A ação consistiu na organização dos que estavam presentes em um círculo, em que cada um contava um pouco sobre si e, por meio de um rolo de fio, passava a palavra a outro, demonstrando como estamos interligados e que, juntos, podemos contribuir para nosso ambiente em comum.

Vast welcomes PRIO at its Terminal for the partnership’s 1st operation

On April 25, we received PRIO at Vast’s terminal, in the Porto do Açu, to accompany the 1st oil transshipment of our partnership! The operation involved a Suezmax vessel and a VLCC, handling about 1 million barrels.

On the occasion, the PRIO team was able to watch the operation up close, to get to know all of our infrastructure and to meet our operational team.
