Vast’s CEO, Victor Snabaitis Bomfim, highlights energy transition initiatives at Rio Pipeline & Logistics 2025

Last week, Vast Infraestrutura took part in Rio Pipeline & Logistics 2025, one of the leading international events in the pipeline and logistics sector. During the conference, the company’s CEO, Victor Snabaitis Bomfim, one of the Congress speakers, gave an interview to André Ramalho from Agência Eixos, where he discussed the transformations needed in port logistics to enable the energy transition.

In his remarks, Victor highlighted some of Vast’s key initiatives in this area, such as conducting transshipment operations in sheltered waters, which emit three times less CO2e compared to open-sea (underway) operations; providing Onshore Power Supply (OPS) for tugboats and support vessels at T-Oil; the agreement with the Port of Rotterdam to promote large-scale electrification of tankers at berth; as well as green diesel testing and investments in biocomponents and biofuels at TLA, reinforcing the company’s strategic role as a driver of decarbonization in the maritime sector.

Vast Infraestrutura and OceanPact conduct HVO refueling operation at TLA

On Monday, September 8, Vast Infraestrutura and OceanPact carried out an HVO (Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil) bunkering operation at TLA. The initiative is part of the partnership established in May between the companies to promote the use of biofuels at the Porto do Açu.

The agreement provides for HVO refueling operations of OceanPact vessels operating on behalf of Vast at T-Oil, in order to test the feasibility of using the biofuel. The refueling operations will take place at TLA, and the studies will assess the impact of partially or fully replacing fossil fuels with biofuels and calculate the emissions avoided.

The signed agreement reinforces Vast and TLA’s strategic position in the decarbonization of the maritime sector.

Vast Infraestrutura e OceanPact fazem operação de abastecimento com HVO no TLA

Na última segunda-feira, dia 08/09, a Vast Infraestrutura e a OcenPact realizaram no TLA uma operação de abastecimento com Óleo Vegetal Hidrotratado (HVO). A iniciativa é parte da parceria firmada em maio entre as empresas para o fomento do uso de biocombustíveis no Porto do Açu.

O acordo prevê a realização de operações de abastecimento com HVO das embarcações da OceanPact que atuam a serviço da Vast no T-Oil para testar a viabilidade do uso do biocombustível. As operações de abastecimento acontecerão no TLA e os estudos avaliarão o impacto da substituição parcial ou total de combustíveis fósseis por biocombustíveis e calcularão as emissões evitadas.

O acordo assinado reforça a posição estratégica da Vast e do TLA na descarbonização do setor marítimo.

Vast Infraestrutura participates in Rio Pipeline & Logistics 2025 with lectures and article presentations

This week, on September 9, 10, and 11, Vast Infraestrutura will take part in Rio Pipeline & Logistics 2025.

In addition to the participation of its executives as speakers at the Congress and the Logistics Arena, the company will also present four articles developed by its teams.
