Vast publishes its first Annual Sustainability Report

It is with great satisfaction that we present our first Annual Sustainability Report, an important milestone in the history of our company.

The year 2021 was marked by many achievements, starting with two years without reportable accidents, the milestone of more than 1 million baby turtles released into the sea, record of operations and revenue, achievement of Great Place to Work certification, among others.

2021 was also marked by the maturing of our governance and the consolidation of the support committees for the Board of Directors (Audit Committee and People and ESG Committee), in line with good corporate governance practices, and the approval of a new sustainability strategy. The issuance of this report, based on the total transparency of the information contained herein, is also the result of this process of improving our governance, of which we are all proud.

We are aware of our role in the context of the energy transition which, for us at Vast, translates into our commitment to opening new paths for the movement of liquids for the present and the future. We are certain that the transition to a sustainable future will continue to generate new opportunities, and in the coming years we will continue to work to capture these opportunities as much as possible, offering infrastructure and logistical solutions for the movement of liquids in a safe, clean, efficient and sustainable way. for the energy market, sharing value with our shareholders, partners and society.

Vast publica seu primeiro Relatório Anual de Sustentabilidade

É com imensa satisfação que apresentamos o nosso primeiro Relatório Anual de Sustentabilidade, um importante marco na história de nossa empresa.

O ano de 2021 foi marcado por muitas conquistas, a começar por dois anos sem acidentes reportáveis, marco de mais de 1milhão de filhotes de tartarugas liberados ao mar, recorde de operações e faturamento, conquista da certificação Great Place to Work, entre outras.

2021 foi também marcado pelo amadurecimento de nossa governança e consolidação dos comitês de apoio ao Conselho de Administração (Comitê de Auditoria e Comitê de Pessoas e ESG), alinhados às boas práticas de governança corporativa, e pela aprovação de uma nova estratégia de sustentabilidade. A emissão deste relatório, pautado na total transparência das informações aqui contidas, é também resultado deste processo de aprimoramento de nossa governança, do qual todos nos orgulhamos.

Estamos cientes de nosso papel no contexto de transição energética que, para nós da Vast, se traduz no nosso compromisso em abrir novos caminhos para movimentação de líquidos do presente e do futuro. Shell and Açu Petróleo reinforce partnership

Shell Brasil and Açu Petróleo signed an agreement that allows an increase in the number of oil transshipment operations carried out at the Açu Petróleo Terminal, located in Porto do Açu.

With this agreement, at its discretion, Shell Brasil will be able to carry out up to 48 additional transshipment operations of 1 million barrels each, per year at Açu, in addition to those already contracted under the current transshipment agreement entered into between the companies in 2015, consolidating the Açu Petróleo Terminal as its main logistics partner in Brazil for oil export operations.

“The Açu Petróleo Terminal at Porto do Açu is one of the safest and most effective options for exporting oil in Brazil. Given its strategic location and installed infrastructure, it is able to safely, efficiently and carefully serve the volume exported by Shell Brasil. The signing of this agreement reinforces the partnership between the companies and places us as one of the main partners for Shell’s operations in Brazil.” says Eduardo Goulart, Commercial Director of Açu Petróleo.

Shell e Açu Petróleo reforçam parceria

A Shell Brasil e a Açu Petróleo assinaram acordo que permite a ampliação do número de operações de transbordo de petróleo realizadas no Terminal da Açu Petróleo, localizado no Porto do Açu.

Com este acordo, a seu critério, a Shell Brasil terá a possibilidade de realizar até 48 operações adicionais de transbordo de 1 milhão de barris cada, por ano no Açu, além daquelas já contratadas no âmbito do atual contrato de transbordo celebrado entre as empresas em 2015, consolidando o Terminal da Açu Petróleo como seu principal parceiro logístico no Brasil para as operações de exportação de Petróleo.

Dada a sua localização estratégica e a sua infraestrutura instalada, é capaz de atender com segurança, eficiência e zelo com o meio ambiente, o volume exportado pela Shell Brasil. A assinatura deste acordo reforça a parceria entre as empresas e nos coloca como um dos principais parceiros para as operações da Shell no Brasil.” afirma Eduardo Goulart, Diretor Comercial da Açu Petróleo.

Açu Petróleo signs an agreement with Petrobras and Transpetro

Açu Petróleo signed a Prior Agreement with Petrobras and Transpetro for the interconnection of its Oil Terminal, located in Porto do Açu, to Petrobras’ Cabiúnas Terminal, in Macaé-RJ. The agreement consists of detailing the basic requirements and technical engineering studies for the future interconnection between the Terminals. The interconnection between the terminals is part of the Spot Project and is foreseen in the company’s business expansion plan, which will allow the use of the Açu Petróleo Terminal to supply the Reduc and Regap refineries. The Spot Project is at an advanced stage of development and licensing and provides for the construction of 12 oil tanks, with a total capacity of 5.7M bbl and two pipelines. In addition to being strategic for supplying refineries, it will provide greater operational flexibility and efficiency for oil imports and exports. This milestone reinforces Açu Petróleo’s position in providing infrastructure and logistics solutions for the movement of liquids in Brazil.

Açu Petróleo assina acordo com Petrobras e Transpetro

A Açu Petróleo assinou um Acordo Prévio com a Petrobras e Transpetro para a interligação do seu Terminal de Petróleo, localizado no Porto do Açu, ao Terminal de Cabiúnas da Petrobras, em Macaé-RJ. O acordo consiste em detalhar os requisitos básicos e estudos técnicos de engenharia para a futura interligação entre os Terminais. A interligação entre os terminais faz parte do Projeto Spot e está prevista no plano de expansão de negócios da companhia o que possibilitará o uso do Terminal da Açu Petróleo para o abastecimento das refinarias Reduc e Regap. O Projeto Spot se encontra em estágio avançado de desenvolvimento e licenciamento e prevê a construção de 12 tanques de petróleo, com capacidade total de 5,7M bbl e dois oleodutos. Além de estratégicos para o abastecimento das refinarias, proporcionará maior flexibilidade operacional e eficiência para importação e exportação de petróleo. Esse marco reforça o posicionamento da Açu Petróleo em prover infraestrutura e soluções logísticas para a movimentação de líquidos no Brasil.

Açu Petróleo releases turtles

Porto do Açu region is a priority spawning area for the endangered species of sea turtle Caretta caretta. For this reason, Porto do Açu Operações, Açu Petróleo, Ferroport and GNA jointly develop the Sea Turtle Monitoring Program of the Port of Açu (PMTM).

The program is currently run in partnership with the Pro-Tamar Foundation and its main objective is the conservation of sea turtles. Among the activities are year-round awareness in the region, daily monitoring of the 62 km of the North Fluminense coast, protection of nests, care and treatment of weakened sea turtles and reintroduction of these animals to the natural environment.

On January 28th, we released more puppies, which we are very proud of! Over these years, there have been more than 100 release actions open to the public.

Thanks to the partnership with the community and a huge task force, we have already reached more than 14 thousand registered nests, and more than 1 million baby turtles protected and released to the sea. Together, we will continue in the great mission of preserving the region’s biodiversity!

Açu Petróleo realiza soltura de tartarugas

A região do Porto do Açu é uma área prioritária de desova da espécie de tartaruga marinha Caretta caretta, ameaçada de extinção. Por isso, a Porto do Açu Operações, a Açu Petróleo, a Ferroport e a GNA desenvolvem em conjunto o Programa de Monitoramento de Tartarugas Marinhas do Porto do Açu (PMTM).

O programa é atualmente executado em parceria com a Fundação Pro-Tamar e tem como principal objetivo a conservação das tartarugas marinhas. Dentre as atividades, estão a conscientização durante o ano todo na região, monitoramento diário dos 62 km do litoral Norte Fluminense, proteção dos ninhos, atendimento e tratamento de tartarugas marinhas debilitadas e reintrodução destes animais ao ambiente natural.

No dia 28 de janeiro realizamos a soltura de mais filhotes, motivo de muito orgulho para nós! Ao longo desses anos, já são mais de 100 ações de soltura abertas ao público.

Graças à parceria com a comunidade e uma enorme força tarefa, já alcançamos mais de 14 mil ninhos registrados, e mais de 1 milhão de filhotes protegidos e liberados ao mar. Juntos, continuaremos na grandiosa missão de preservar a biodiversidade da região!
