Porto do Açu is now authorized to issue health certificates to vessels
Porto do Açu, where Vast Infraestrutura’s oil terminal is located, was included by the World Health Organization (WHO) in the list of ports authorized to issue health certificates to vessels.
From now on, the port will receive on-site service from the Brazilian National Health Surveillance Agency (Anvisa), reducing logistic and operational costs for clients of the several companies present in the complex, including those of Vast.
The addition of Anvisa’s services to Porto do Açu is in line with the One Stop Shop concept, promoting yet another convenience to be offered in the complex. Among the activities that will be carried out by Anvisa is the issuance of the Free Practice Certificate, which permits the embarkation and disembarkation of goods and crew.
By avoiding longer journeys, Anvisa’s work at the port will also reduce greenhouse gas emissions, which, for Vast and its clients, means another competitive advantage for increasingly safe, reliable and less carbon-intensive operations.
