T-Oil operations emit 3x less CO₂e than underway model
T-Oil operations 3x less carbon dioxide equivalent (CO₂e) than those carried out in open sea. This is the conclusion of a study conducted by Bureau Veritas comparing carbon emission levels between the main ship-to-ship operation modes in Brazil.
The difference between the two models is mainly because, at Vast Infraestrutura’s terminal, vessels are docked, while in underway operations, ships remain navigating and consuming more fuel.

The result was highlighted by Brasil Energia, which interviewed Vast CEO Victor Snabaitis Bomfim. In the article, Victor commented: “It is possible to further reduce the carbon footprint of operations at T-Oil. All of us who operate and work in this segment has the responsibility to continuously lower the carbon intensity of these operations.”
Vast Infraestrutura continues to open increasingly sustainable horizons for energy.
